FDK Fest?

it was lovely in june, before we broke up and also may bank holiday, but we go to plymfest...

the weather thing is a bit of a lottery really, but Di is right, this month is quiet

What about working with the guys at Wychwood and having our first fest under the Wychwood umbrella, so run it at the same weekend - good music guaranteed, but dedicated camping for VW'ers on site and try to build a following from there. I'm sure we could learn a lot from those guys about how you run an event - ( I would certainly give my time to getting in there and learning something) and as it stands it is defo family friendly and if we got a good response we could look to go it alone in 2011.

thats a good idea but i cant see um goin for it . if they would it could be a great plan . i think there bizzy enuff not to bother but still a great idea in prinsable . maybe worth a call . but would be 100 od £ to get in . most vw show dont cost that much . but still worth lookin at . maybe a fdk/vw field at a show could work

I'm thinking they might let us have a concessionary rate for providing marshalling and the like. We will need to do this at our own show, so best to learn from people who have done it and know the score. Makes it a bit different as well if there is proper entertainment rather than just VW's.

The other side of the fence is that we might all decide that its better to sit in a field and have a 'no worries' drink rather than run around all frantic and trying to sort stuff. In short , we might actually all be too lazy / laid back / disorganised to do it.

Best to find that out when we can still blame someone else for the disorganisation!!

ye defo werth lookin at . maybe the 2000 trees or what ever its called or that one out by twecsbruy . . cant see the big ones being botherd with us but think theree a few small ones thet could do with suport that may be goers . that USA one would be spot on but if there up there own arses it wont work . an FDK/vw field would be great start . or a big private feild just for us would work too. i recon between us we could come up with some bands and bozz .

we have been involved with some top DJs and have a few proper bands to call on . not defo but we could maybe get a good line up tbo . surtunly worth askin a few folk . you never no .

i am actually a grade 2 spoons player. (not much experience with the tambourine)

In fact.. I recon lower lode would be best.. they have a bar and loos and fire (assuming thats available anytime) and less organisation !

Maybe we can combine it with a night when they have a music thing on ?
