Narrowed beem on a fast/strip car

Is it a good combination
i'm tryin to plan out what im gonna do to ma Oval and just wondered is it a good idea to stick a narrowed beem on her considering the horse power im hoping to get.Would it be safe, anyone foresee any possible probs.(bearing in mind i wont be going round corners at maxi chat,well not intentionally )

to be honest i wasnt sure, i have the 4 inch on the split but i think that may be too severe on the Oval for what i have in mind engine wise.So lets say a 2 inch narrowed beem

i think once i get the initial engine barry i will look to go for MORE power over a period of time.initially money will be tight as ive got soo much to put into her what with engine costs gearbox brakes etc etc

2inchs will be fine. i would have the wheels/tyre your going to use and see what offset they'r going to have then chop the beam to suit. oh and do it yourself save £££s

Look at most fast race cars mario,they all have narrowed beams

thats for strait lines though aint it . would be nice if it drove well round corner i reckons

this is what im concerned about as i intend using her on the road too
Sayin that tho my split handles fookin great with the 4 inch narrowed weedeater she has on her

understood but surely the best handeling would come from a wider stance ., not saying it wouldnt go round corners , i was just saying it doesnt matter for the drag race cars as they dont really do corners . you wouldnt see a narowed beem on a rally car would you .
