i'd bin that pancake fliter too.

it wont start mate . got a good spark and will kick when you easy start it , its defo not a stranded one rich . its has about 20 moving levers and has a adapter from the manifold to the carb . guna swap for a standerd if i can find one

I didnt notice all that gubbins underneath it,where the pipes go in..looks like too many things to go wrong there

is the carb getting fuel to it??

one to the oil filler and one to vac advance . its twin choke . i fink iv seen one before on a thread baz was on so hop he nos . ye far to much to go wrong . aparuntly the fan belt got tangled and its not work well from about that time so i ges it fucked something . its got moving bit that dont go anywhere

ye fuel going in . and i would say theres a bit at the plugs but not mixing right or not enuff . it has started with a tow im told but ran shit .

just been told the 1600 and the 1300 are different size manifolds . is that right . in the past every carb iv found has fitted every manifold

Who told you that??

there is 2diff sized mani's no idea what size it changes on, i have got an adapter plate here somewhere to run a 1300 carb on a 1600 manifold or t'other way round though!

i spos i better get and mesure it . bloody el i bet i buy the wrong one

That carb looks like its got a manual choak on it.

Has it got nikki and made in japan writen on the side?. could be a replacement card kit from years ago.
