i am fitting the engine to my bay window single cab,first time ive done an engine on a bay so need a bit of help/guidance from those who know............


ive got the engine brace bar.................with the two separate engine mounts...............i dont have the bolts that join this lot together..............

does anyone have a pic of how i can see how it all bolts together as i dont have a manual........

coolair sell them but i aint sure which i should buy...............

duno mate , sure someone will but you can put it in with out the bar i reckon then maybe add it later , i should stay out of these threads as i dont know what im talking about , :fish:

Not got a clue mate..the only bay i had,had a type4 lump in it and dint need a support bar Very Happy

Should be strait forward . you have the 3 bolts that fit the crossmember to the engine 2 large 1 small (normaly stripped) at the outer ends you have the rubber mounts that fitt into the hangers off the chassis. can be a bit of a joggle to get it all in there. smile

These bits ^^^^ in red................there the bits im puzzled with Bar.....

does the stud on the rubber mount go thru the crossmember if so how is the rubber mount then fixed to the hangers on the chassis??????

managed to get some good pics off folk on vee zee Very Happy

You were spot on Bar Very Happy .....NOT that i doubted you..............it looks like ive got bolts missing so thats what has thrown me i think lol lol

The stud of the rubber mount go's thru x/member the rubber mounts then sit on the ledge of the hangers off the chassis then the bolt go's up thru. don't tighten any thing untill you have the bolts into the engine. you may need to move the motor about a bit on a jack to get it all there. smile
