i think that's a bit cheeky , unless im missing something are they claiming to have something to do with dicks van ? an the photo shopping is iffy .

if he's aware of this or its something to do with rich i take it all back

The guy who owned your van,dave and the guy who owns wide5 in the USA are both really good friends on the steeringboxscrapers website.
Perhaps they agreed on using the pics before you bought it

When I saw it (years ago) I rang them and asked if they had done anything on it prior to me owning as I didn't have anything in the history file from them. They just said that they saw a picture of it and liked the look of it so used the picture on the site.
One of the insurance brokers that advertise in Volksworld or Ultra used a picture of it in their ad too. At renewal time I rang them for a quote and they said they wouldn't insure a crew cab - so I suggested they didnt use the picture in their ad again and fair play to tim they didn't.

nothing to do with me but i think its cheeky, the Stowfords bus is well known on the scene and they are using it as advertising at the top of their web page, in the banner way they have done it with the bus coming out at the end with their name on it implies they done it or supplied parts or had something to do with it, someone with a T4 cud see it and think sound they did the Stowfords bus i will get my work/parts off them, and really its nearly killed Rich doing it Just cheekily email them and say something like thanks for using the pic of my bus iv spent years working on will i be receiving a payment or some sort of discount

It would bug me if it was Di's t4 after my work I wouldn't want it on there when it's got sod all to do with them . That said if anyone a half knew asked I would say no worries and go for it . As long as they made a better job of the banned than that wanky one

Im quite interested in design/art/web design and also in advertising. My comments are not a rant just observational.
The ad is nearly a clever piece of marketing but also fails at the same time.The first thing someone sees when they hit that page is the words- For all your extreme van conversion needs, our brains read from left to right so the very next thing we see is the Stowfords bus "Wow! i never knew extreme did the Stowfords bus! Shows mete, "Cool we will get our work/bits off them" When they phone or email to order they are not gonna ask did you do the Stowfords bus? their brain has already wrongly made that assumption. Why did they want the Stowfords bus to be the first image people saw when hitting their site? other vehicles would have been tried in this layout but they wanted and decided on the Stowfords bus! Maybe they thought it was one of the coolest splits around? to which i would be flattered but but still bugged by the fact they are sublimily implying they had something to do with the work on it. It fails because of the poor child like photoshop cut n paste style.They obviously didnt want to pay a designer a few hundread quid to "morph" them into each other, and what the fuck is that grass about?! and the sun?! In a years time Rich cud have a conversation that goes something like this Geezer at show- "Nice bus mate" "Cheers" says Rich, "I had some work done by them too" says geezer, Rich confused says "Who? Stowfords?" Geezer says "Nah mate Extreme conversions, i love the way they did your suspension and lowering..."
