If you consider that there is about 1500 quid of value just in the set of 4 wings, then £8750 doesn't sound so bad (not that I'd pay that kind of money for a beetle, you understand

An old friend of mine has recently sold his squareback. He got £27k for it

It went to Australia though - so the big money for these things ain't here in blighty

Price it all up you couldent build it for that. a verey clean car hardly seen the streets of nam by the looks of it.

OK. I'll re-phrase. It wouldn't attract 9k from me. I think that a lot of kit could attract more cash if you 'break' it, but when you lOok at 'bbbang for your buck' and see what Mario's oval sold for last year - for a useabvle classic I know where I'd go.,
