Right, looks like i need to replace all four wings, lower door repair panel, bonnet and a few other small bits on my bug so it looks like the og paint is gone..boo hoo :vi:

As i cant be arsed to paint the thing properly yet and its going to be a rolling resto should i go for racing red oxide or wetsuit black?

Im not really a fan of either but its not going to be forever.

Red oxide looks like work in progress!! Also I don't think that it is porous, as in letting damp through like primer! smile

Then you can always put the black over it! smile

Mind you Crimbo and kimbo paint there rides on here with a clear wax stuff what works a treat! smile

satin is less porous & smoother than matt but I'm not sure either are completely water-tight

Is that applied with or without thinning is down 1st dude? When i spray celly i normally thin it down 50/50 but i guess that would be too runny if rolling it on?

How much of your bus have you painted using this method Dickie, just the lower front panel or...?

Hi Crags, Dickie was giving Spellbound some advice on roller painting in one of the previous threads on this site, There was also a thread on vzi about it ages ago with lots of pics of different dubs done that way, Some very good examples on there
