Race Shack

How do we get on with the guys at Race Shack?
Have seen them on camper / beetle crisis but never been in.
To be honest have driven past a couple of times when work has put me over that way but always felt far too intimidated / embarassed to go and say hello.
Understand that the place has changed hands recently also.
Would love to put the crew cab on their dyno and work out quite how many of the horses have gone to graze in other pastures! Anyone else interested in arranging a half day over there? I am happy to talk to them to see if we can arrange a club meet and test afternoon.

As the newbie, I'm anxious not to tread on anyones toes though. Feel free to tell me to get back in my box!

It's just down the road from me and I have real trouble getting to other club stuff.

i think from now on im gonna send you lot o life size piccie of me n ma split,just so i can be at some of the club meets too

i did ask the Mrs if we could move darn sarf but she told me in her best Scottish accent to fuck orf

we've been over to a few of their dyno days and they have
been ok, but it's about £80 to put your motor on the rollers.
You get a hp print out, 0-60 and a 1/4 mile run for it. We'll
have to keep a eye out for the next open day and pop over.

I had a pm from some of the swindon guys who are organising a dyno day for their club at raceshack and he has invited us down if we fancy it.
Its owned by jim and his brother ben from skintaracing now..
Jims now turning his hand at making brake servos and steering racks for splits and has turned his half over to his brother.
kevo who works there seems a decent bloke from when we have been over there.
I will keep anyone posted on when the swindon boys are sorting theirs out

I couldn't do much there with a fire, oil breathing diesel though!

I would look more like a builder turning up to do some work!

Will have to look into it, somehow!

Nitrous Oxide works on diesels the same as petrols you know

I am however more slow and sulphurous than fast and furious...
