I've got loads of plastic that the new kitchen cupboards came wrapped up in. Can I use it in the garden, to keep veges warm as they grow, or am I making that up and should I just burn it ? .. I took a load to the tip the other week, thinking they may recycle it into something, but they told me to put it in the landfill bin.

Splendid idea !, hadn't thought of that. But i still dont like the idea of bagging and binning it.. it could suffocate burrowing animals. If animals burrow in landfills...

Actually, any animals that burrow in landfill prolly have 2 or 3 heads due to the toxic fumes, so there's prolly only a 33-50% chance they would suffocate lol
