And now home , with a fresh MOT and an interior in need of a fit out.

I'm really pleased with it.
They say you can't polish a turd, but you can spray it grey and roll it in glitter!

Paintwork was done by Danny at DB Auto's - based out at Elmstone Hardwicke. PM me if you want some details.
He's a top bloke and does a good job for sensible money.
He came highly recommended from a trade contact when I needed someone to repair the Golf when I wiped out the front end in a high speed collision with a pheasant and did a great colour match, so I talked to him about doing the van.
He's done a stunning job when you look at how rough the base van was and I'd recommend him without question. I didn't do any prep at al - I just gave him the van in its battered state and he did the strip down paint and even rebuilt it with the new bits and pieces I'd 'acquired'.
Attention to detail has been excellent. All the door shuts have been painted and when its lined and carpeted I think you could believe it left the factory in this colour.

It does need bigger wheels though, so might look to punt on these 15's when I've raised some cash for replacements. Need to get the bed and furniture in the back so I can work out how low to drop the suspension.

The plan now is to

insulate and carpet line
get seats in the back so I can transport the kids
look at some furniture (T4 life probably)
rear parking sensors ( its bloody long!!)

and then revisit how it 'sits'

it looks great mate. not sure i could spend the cash on mine but would be intrastate what sort of price it cost you for the prep and paint , it really looks smart in that colour . its going to be a great van i reckon good work

Just bought myself a new plate for it
A bit extravagant I know, but I've never had a 'private' plate before or really ever been inclined to buy one. Truth be told I've never really had an 'other' car that I cared about enough to worry about the reg and I suppose I've always had something old with an 'interesting' plate.
The split had HSL601 and the Lambretta was XDG205. My old MG was LAD264E and I struggle to remember the reg on the Vitesse ( I never really loved it 'cos it was so unreliable, but it was on a H plate IIRC) but it was old and so was OK
Anyway - the yet 'un-named' camper will soon be sporting T4 WBD. (T4 Weardybeardy) - Was only £160 plus £80 transfer fee, which seems to be about as cheap as they get.

Thanks guys - started flashing tape application to the panels today , but didn't take any pics.
More insulation works tomorrow!

hmm , il check the email , give him a call mate and heel try and help , no dint see you where was i ? the beast auto box went odd yesterday , had the foalt codes wiped and now it fine again , bit scary though , wont be cheap for a box .

i think we was on a test drive , i was very tense waiting for it to break again but its ok so far no didn't see you or would of stopped for a hello , and the exmoth garden looked nice today

Looking good. Id love a t4 as a daily and day bus. The bay is ace but it's 3 hrs to the sea for me. So summat with a bit more go would be cool. Maybe one day lol.
