Police came to visit me!

Today a very dapper young policeman came to my house. After my initial concern and he reassured me that I really hadn't done anything wrong he finally told me why he came.

10 years ago I was burgled. Broken windows, lots of stuff taken etc. Anyway there was some blood on the side in the kitchen which was swabbed and recorded. Fast forward to now. Girl who broke in has just been arrested for something else and her DNA has been cross referenced and come up as a match for the burglary on my flat.

I now have to give a 2nd statement and she was being arrested this evening.

To add insult, I know the girl. Always had my suspicions but never proof. iykwim. She has so say sorted her life out and has a new baby, bmw etc so her past is about to bite her hard on the arse.

10 years and they finally solve it. My faith is restored.

I wish we could get the baby film back that was in our camcorder when that got nicked, they could keep everything else but that was irreplaceable...
