Thanks for booking for Bristol – this is just to give you an update on what’s happening. We hope you like the new site and layout.
We’ve got loads lined up for you with six great bands (all fellow v-dubbers) so give them your support. Don’t worry about the football – we’re showing the England USA match on big screen before the main entertainment in our Gert Big Shed. Join with Danish (inter)national Bo Fusballson’s football skills trials and win yourself a place in the VIP area for the game where you’ll be lavished with hospitality. Then get your fancy dress on to join in the South African Carnival night with top party band The Soul Destroyers – on stage at 10 (ish).
The trade arena is full with plenty of parts and autojumblers plus all the usual clothes and accessories. Don’t miss the car service yard with engine diagnostics (air and water-cooled) window tinters, ICE installs, wheel refurbs and paint technicians. There’s is a great off road track in the centre of the show with displays by South West Buggies and the Buggy and Baja Club – we’ve got BMX and skate board ramps with professional display teams, climbing tower and a really crazy, crazy golf course. There’s some huge and fantastic club displays including the newly formed Kerbside Custom with all their show and magazine featured vehicles.
All you dog owners, show your mutt how it’s done as we’ve got the really popular Dog Agility display team with us again on Saturday (two displays). We’ve got the LowRidz to entertain you all weekend and Sonic Frontiers ICE display on Sunday. The Show and Shine, this year lovingly tended by Bath Air Cooled and Newport Edition, has loads of new classes and is on Sunday (entering? then be in the S&S arena and set up by 10.30). Have a go on Dubsy’s graffiti wall and let the kids enjoy the artschool, circus workshop and competitions and get yourself fit by helping out on Project Bicyclettes Pedal Powered stage which will be providing the PA in the marquee over the weekend. Gather your thoughts on Saturday and Sunday morning (between 9am and 10pm) with a FREE cup of tea from Nepali Nosh courtesy of Yorkshire Tea.
The Easter Compton Carnival is also happening on Saturday 12th, which means the road will be closed for their procession (lead by a classic Beetle Cabriolet) between 1pm and 2pm Saturday- so probably a good idea to avoid trying to come and go between those times (although there are diversions in place).
Gates open mid-day Friday – have a safe journey and we look forward to seeing you. If anyone asks you, tickets can be purchased on arrival – no worries.
