i've been having some trouble with the ignition sometimes it starts straight away and sometimes i have to wiggle the key in the ignition to get it to start, but i've gone out today to just get it ticking over while he's waiting to be repaired and nada, zip, zero.
Can anyone tell me what might be wrong. obviously something is wrong with ignition and i've tried reading manuals but can't get work it out lol

Is it the key don't turn or dose it turn and nothing happen ? Get some wd40 with the straw and stick it in the ignition and squery the sit out of it then get the key in and out and waggled about ; or it mite be the switch at the back , not to difficult or expensive if you know what your doing

could be a worn barrel(where the key fits into the slow)

or

Loose wirse at the back of the ignition switch.....(where all the wirse fit into)
Normally it'll have a plastic cover over it on the steering column.
