bug dynamo in gwo or alternator conversion bits

think a winding has gone in my dynamo,

after one in good working order or parts for alternator conversion.

ive tried all the standard bits, known good regulator, new brushes, polarising it, testing voltage to ground, buzzed out wiring, generator light still on at idle.
