Beetle parts

Hello all,
My old mans decided that he wants to break his 72 bug due to the frame head being rotton,
has anyone got any idea how much these bits would be worth:-

Complete running 1300 engine (with chrome tins) and gearbox

Set of 4 empi 8 wheels with good tyres

Full matching interior with recaro style front and rear seats

Lowered front beam

plus loads of other little bits, but just wondered about the main bits really.

All depends on condition matey.................

for example has the engine got any end float in it...does it leak oil???

dont forget too,if the body is in decent nick he could sell that off as off cuts too..or as a complete shell

i take it the beem is ball joint ???


engine with no end float.............id say between £200 to £300 (chrome tinware may struggle to sell unless cheap as it mostly rots and folk dont want it)
gearbox,maybe £50 to £100
Empi 8 spokes.....£150 to £200




Stick some pics up of the shell etc cos if its in decent nick it could pull in a few quid...

i just had a thought..............your old man know's that you CAN get a new frame head for his bug

yeah he knows, but to be honest i think he knows that when the body comes off to do the repairs theres gona be too much work for him to do....i would love to do it but think i got my hands abit full with the bus. Thanks for the hint though.

which side door does he need dickie? cos if it drivers i know that dad has got a spare in good condition and from memory passengers aint too bad either

how are the carpets or does that come with the interior? am i jus being thick

ooo and before i forget does anyone no if the window mecanism would fit the oval ?
