VW Paint Codes

Does anyone know anything about vw paint ?

Just Kampers list L20b Brilliant Orange which is what i assume my bus is

Halfords list aerosols of VW L20b Brilliant Orange

I need to do some touch ups so i'm hoping this is the right stuff

mate ive used halfords for paint on my oval and my splitty......there data base is good...how ever its down the individaul mixing the paint that can be a problem...if you can always get the same person to do it for you....

i do have another one which im trying to find

take the van or petrel flap to Middleton paint in glos and Bristol rd i think and get them to match some . 12 quid for a can , 10 if you say your trade and i spect they would do you a little pot for brushing bits , not a lot of point using the code as it wont match after 30 years

like i said oop there^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ the halfords data base is good................oh one thing tho.....be prepared for the colours to be written in german on their data base........ie....beryl green = beryl grun..
dove blue= tauban blau

so long as you have your number...in your case L20b you should be fine...

I'm after some in an aerosol so i can touch up some interior floor before i put the interior back in as i ended up completely gutting the bus today to remove mould from the wood bases which i am also now going to replace, in fact i'm going to rebuild the interior

This bastard list s getting longer by the day

I though of middletons Toast as i get my welding steel from them but didn't know if they'd do an aerosol as i haven't got the kit to spray from a gun

no worries matey...it's only stuff ive asked myself in the past......

if you get stuck with the place Toastie has said then try.................autopaint.co.uk (01744 818102) ask for Mark and tell him i put you onto them (they are in the north west of england) they are VERY good..

i used to use classic car paint company...but had shit service off them...and found out they bought there paint from................autopaint.co.uk!!!!

I would say go with middletons in glos..their aerosols are the best ive ever used,the spray and thickness is perfect and brian there will match it 100%
As toast says,you might get a completely different shade if you buy over the phone or the net,as your paints going to be 30 years old and you will defo need to colour match it

I'm gonna try and swing by there tomorrow if i get half a chance, i'm only gonna touch up the cab floor before i put the flooring back in so it won't strictly be on show

Just got an aerosol made up at GMF tel 01242 252100 just need the paint code
