Charity MOPED (50CC) ride John o Groats to Lands End...................1000 miles on a ped!!!

Howdy Folks,

some of you are aware that there is a charity run presently being organised on VZI(Volkszone)

The idea...............simple really.....

Ride from John o Groats to Lands End in 7 days on a 50CC MOPED



I am one of the nutters thats has signed up to this

Every single penny raised will go to the Charity involved,which in this case is Brad's Cancer Charity..



This has been gathering pace over the past few months and it has now come to the time where i need to start gathering Sponsor monies.....so, i am asking if any of you good folk would sponsor me?
There is NO pressure to and no amount will be too small,the idea is to try and raise £10,000 all in...

All costs of the the trip are being met by us,the riders.....so fuel...camping...food cost of the moped's is all coming out of our own pockets.............ALL sponsor money goes to Brad's...


I know times are hard and pennies are tight.........but,could i ask you to consider sponsoring me please?

I am hoping my Company will sponsor me in their usual,ie what ever money i raise they will double it...



If any of you wish to sponsor me could i ask that you PM and i will give you my bank details for transfer...this way i can prove to my Company how much i have gathered.

There is a giving page mate,but, the problem with that is that if my company sponsor me i need to prove how much money i raised..then hopefully they will double it......

my mrs does have a paypal account tho,so i suppose i could use that if it folk feel more comfortable with that..

i think people or more likely to stick a bit in paypal but only my opinion mate . i would of thought you could set up your own page ant then show work the total , iv never done it but have seen lots of others pages about

Will you be able to claim the gift aid doing it that way? Worth looking into

Hi Ben,

with donations folk can use the main JOGLE donation pages set up by Brian if they wish.....

how ever what i am hoping is............folk will sponsor me thru paypal up there^^^^^^.....then i can put it onto my sponsor sheet(s).......then i am hoping my company will then DOUBLE what i have in donations....
they will only double the money i have on my sponsor sheets......
ive already had a bollocking for giving a senior manager some shit when they said no to a suggestion i had.So doing it this way i can go a different route,missing out said manager and getting my monies doubled.
I cant believe a company as massive as mine can be so tight fisted!!!

if people give strait to maz and then he donates it all as a gift to brads would it work out the same ?

Ok mate, gift aid adds 25% I think (hmrc refund the income tax we've already paid on the money we donate) but if your company are gonna add 100%, that's better, even if we don't get gift aid. Put me down for a tenner and I'll PayPal it tomorrow when I'm not on my phone

once ive collected all my sponsor monies i will pay it directly to Brad's.

any money paid into the paypal account is withdrawn to my wifes account,then into cash and placed in safe keeping in our house......this way we know exactly what money we have and if need be we can back trace all monies

then like i said up there^^ i will add it to one of my sponsor forms and then i can hand those forms into my company to hopefully get it doubled......as the sponsor forms are in my name.....if you donate direct to Brad's then they will obviously get that cash...but it wont be doubled by my company
