t4 starter moter is sticky

hello , my starter makes some odd noises , when Pete heard it he said it was sticking , question is how hard it to get to and what do i do with it once its off ?

No idea how to get to it on yours but once it's off you need to check the pinion gear is clean and can move up and down the shaft cleanly, if it's sticking like you say then it'll be stuck out

Sounds like the drive pinion gear part bit is gummed up, wd 40 and a rag

Take the old belly pan off from underneath, I always take the front bumper off too!
Gearbox end and look up
Three M6 Allen bolts
There are some brackets attached to some bolts, so you will have a fiddle and wiggle, disconnect the wires before hand toooo!
Mine made a funny noise for 4years, finally died a death, bought one from eBay for £59.00 12months warranty tooo

Mine sticks. I fucked it up over the past couple of months as my glow plugs were shot. Easy start and plenty of key turning. Only just realised I have bent the keys up doing it too.
