New Split

Ok - so here's the new toy!

Some of you might recognise as it used to belong to a guy from Trowbridge?

Lots to do to get it how I want, but now I have no cash left to do it, so I think it's going to be an ongoing project for the next few years!

I will probably be asking for advice and know how from anyone who is happy to give it. Maybe in exchange for a beer or 2

Cheers for the thumbs up....... It's got a 1600TP in it, which will probably be there to stay for quite a while(fingers crossed).

Long term I am hoping to get it resprayed, and more of a cal look.

PS. I am not a big fan of the light either - it will be up for sale eventually and the cash will go into the respray fund. At the minute it will have to stay, as two holes have been drilled through a perfectly otherwise hole free roof!

I'm told the front bumper is original? The rear is NOS. It's a 56 so I think ribbed bumpers are standard spec for that year. (I stand to be corrected, as I have limited knowledge here. Just picking bits and pieces up as I go along!)

Not sure on light in those colours but you may grow to like it if staying for a while,looks a nice splitty.

Sorry - not been on here much over the last while.
Haven't had much chance to do as much as I would have liked.
Few issues with the engine, which I managed to sort. Cyclops light is off the roof.
Fitted a CSP shifter, as it was really difficult getting reverse as it was. Replaced bushes, tightened up the couplings and thought that would sort the issue. Now after my handy work I don't have reverse at all! Seem to spend ages tweeking to try and find all gears, but reverse is still the problem.
Going to put the stock shifter back in, with a quick shift kit to see if that fixes the issue - hopefully tomorrow! It's keeping me off the road at the moment as it is too difficult pushing the bus back into the garage if I take it out for a spin.

In a vicous cycle at the moment of....... no time -  busy at work - save some cash - Mrs spends said cash - no time - busy at work. (Eat,sleep,repeat!)
The Mrs spent my bus money on a new car, so still trying gather a few squid to start the renovation proper!

Sack her off and look after the bus

But who would do my washing and ironing?
