Busy week on the split

No work this week so made an effort to get the bus up and ready for this year..
Always wanted to fit the fillered in handle on the sliding door,managed to find a very very rare,split slider only door handle off another split slider only for 20 quid..one on samba for $280
Anyway with encouragement from toast and bar and got the wifr wheel to work to not find it flllered but plated..

so baz got the grinder out and cut it and i grindered it back flat

Bit of filler to feather it back in

After numerous reactions with the old paint underneath,i decided to go back to bare metal.

Few coats of etch primer and some good old rollering and its all done


Also fitted up the airbox lid clare painted for me


Im also redoing all the wood interior in better wood and a much much lighter stain..
Head locker done...loads of sanding of the old stain was done.


As i want the table to fold down without speakers fitted to it ive decide to put my speakers in a suitcase stereo,so i made this today as well..

Got the two new bits of furniture i made varnished today.

Different colour to the head locker im afraid but i just couldnt get it to match,will varnish the front of the locker with the same stuff as this so it matches.

Looking good, i need to make a top locker but i haven't even got a clue where to start
