What's next ?

still doing a bit. but started getting back into it now i can use my leg better.
just finished redoing one of the lower a pillar repairs to get the door to fit properly as it had pulled out of shape after welding it only moved a mm or so but it was enough for it to have the door out of line 5mm at the trim line.

also have picked up a few more bits , the main one being a AP twin plate clutch from a Tvr 4.0 speed six. i think it may be up to the job.

Glad to hear your back on your feet mate......and using a grinder again..

Cheer's Andy. using the grinder for the 1st time was a bit shakey doing a bit every day, the flywheels being made at the moment so i can start mocking up the motor soon . and the roll cage will start in a few weeks

Just a bit shakey lol..i must admit its made me think a lot more when using one!

bit of an update , got the new flywheel made to fit the new clutch pack  it only weighs 10lb.



and since the clutch assembly is thicker i had to make another adapter plate,so picked up some ally plate and made a thicker one.




just need to finnish a bit of welding and final shaping on it.
so i did a trial fit onto the block to check that it all fitted.




just need a couple of adjustments to do and work out how im going to fit the starter ring gear but i have a plan.

Surely nothing could possibly go wrong .

The plan started coming together with a block of ally that i had to trim down so it would fit onto the lathe. then had to weld a couple of holes up that had been drilled into it.    So popped it onto the lathe and started cutting.




so after nearly 8hr's of cutting measuring and more cutting i ended up with this.




then a a trial fit.




And it fits. just need to drill n tap the mounting holes and it's done.

got anther bit made. needed a spigot bearing boss to fit into the flywheel / crank, so grabbed a bit of steel



spent a couple of hr's on the lathe and ended up with this.




ready to press the bearing in.
