second home brew on

wile i drink the first one lovely jubly

all went very well this time iv got more kit than whitbread so it better come out well

the stuff i bottled of the first lot is really good but the stuff in the keg is a little flat at the mo but is getting better .

i like my new hobby

I need something strong like that, i'm on a 5 day course which involves learning german and i haven't got a day off for another ten days

It's an age since I brewed but I seem to remember you can add a tiny bit more sugar when bottling for extra fizz

It certainly looks like a success D, good skills

Is it strong?

3rd brew on and this one may be strong , aimng for 4.5% lager .

it has cost me 12 quid for 20 litre that 35 odd pints so fingers crossed it come out ok

Ha , no unfortunately they won't work , I'm after large bear or cider ones , no screw tops . If you see the top of a magners bottle there's a ring the caps grip over .

I do intend to do some wine a some point and will need them then

I started brewing wine last year.
So far i've tried peach (paint tinnerish), rubard (not great), rubard and raspberry (sweet), summer fruits (blackcurrent, blackberry, red gooseberry, raspberry, sour as fuck).
The kits are ok, black cherry ok, but the wife likes the strawberry wine kit.
Saved me a fortune as kits work out at about £1.50 a bottle
Got a 54 bottle wine rack in the garage and its virtually full

my lager is on for 4.5% at the mo but may get a little stronger

its now at least 5.2
