Can any1 help?
I have removed all drums for brake rebuild and have notice that 2 of the backing plates have bits missing. :-(
The bit that stops the adjuster star from spinning.!!!!
These look like part of the plate was wondering if they can be replaced or does it mean I need 2 new plates.
Cheers for any info!!

I have found the part number to order new retainer parts.
I have been looking into how it works and I believe as its only 1 side of the adjuster they would work fine anyway!!
Is this correct??
Cheers

Its the little locking spring i think your after that go's across the bottom of the adjuster block. if so you can buy them and spot weld them in place.smile

Yeah bar, that's the things! I seen part on coolair, I was hoping as it is only 1 half of adjuster block they've broke off they would be fine!!
As they are would you suggest replacing them.
cheers

Its been a while but I've never bothered replacing them and never had the brakes back themselves off or anything like that. I wouldn't bother personally, but that's just me

Thanks paddy.
Whilst on honey moon took the time threads lil and they shouldn't back off once setup. So going to chance it especially as its only 1 half of the backing plate that its snapped from. Cheers all
