Well, except the sink which ir perched on two bits of wood and the cooker which is going tomorrow. Looks rather big now

i have a makeshift kitchen in the back room.. worktop resting on the washing machine and tumble dryer (thanks ben ) with toaster kettle microwave and wine n lemonade on top

But still have the old cooker gassed in. Zee is gonna ask if her dad would mind popping round to disconnect it, but if he would rather not as he is no longer corgi registered and his eyesight is failing, does anyone know whether this would be a simple thing for me to do ?, or will I end up blowing the house up so in the long run it would be cheaper for me to pay someone £100 odd to come out for 5 mins ?

you can do it yourself Lise... bayonet fitting, like a light bulb, push in, turn, pull out - job done

stick some washing up liquid /water on the supply pipe after disconnecting the cooker to make sure no bubbles = no leaks
