Wouldn't have thought it was to bad to do! But would you need to blank it off afterwards?

With a plug type screw fitting ( don't know the real name for it! Embarassed)

You can always check it afterwards with some soapy water for leaks! ( Or some of that jelly!) That's what I did to mine but I have never re-connected it since!
Nice pipe work too! smile

Thats what I was wondering.. would gas come out after I've taken it off ?

no, bayonet fittings are self sealing wink you will get a smell of gas from the gas contained in the flexy pipe but don't worry when you smell it, the gas won't escape from the rigid copper pipe smile

it's this bit you disconnect by the way if you weren't sure smile

the braincell wrote:My Kitchen - Page 2 Kitchen2005

don't disconnect the other end (at the cooker), that's NOT self sealing!

Cool! smile I would go with that!

I was just washing out my paint brushes thinking about it! You could always disconnect it with him!

But to get someone out for a few minutes would be pricey!

Bollox. I can push it in and turn (anti-clockwise i assume) but then the horizontal bit of the pipe hits the wall and I cant pull it off.

gouge a bit of the renderlite out of the wall with a knife (it should still be soft)... should give you more space & the plasterer will cover it up when he does the skim smile

Have you found a kitchen yet?

Me and the wife have a few trade accounts for kitchens, if you are having trouble finding one just gives us a shout!
They are Magnets and mfi type ones, and my wife would bag a bargain with them(She is a bull dog chewing a wasp with that type of things!) We have got another account, but they are pricey! But you never know in this climate as they are all mad for your money!

Reckon I'm sorted on the kitchen, getting it from Howdens, ta !

Magnets quoted me 11K for one ! lol

But if you can get good discounts on a slimline fully integrated dishwasher, gas hob (with cut out safety feature), under the counter (only found out that that was what i needed when we went to gillmans last weekend lol) electric single oven, or a lovely black high gloss sparkly worktop,, then that would be ace ! Very Happy

And I should prolly get a cooker hood with extraction fan.. but I'm still; fannying about over that lol

We fannied around with the extractor for ages! carzzy

If you have gone to Howdens that was where we would have taken you! So it should be a good price!!! smile

Never bought a kitchen from magnets trade yet have always bought other stuff like plaster board and plaster when they were the cheapest in town if you can believe it!

I haven't got any catalogue to look at here! Shiny gloss sounds nice!

Did Howdens have any hobs or cookers up to scratch?

I will ask the wife about the dishwasher!
