Ive managed to calm down a bit now, my sesh in the tattoo shop took my mind off the Oval OUCH in fact fucking ouch

I will get back into her 2morro and start assessing what she needs.
she WILL be re-built and put back on the road
I have to to try n show Betsy how fast a bug can go

I will just have to pause some other plans i had and get into her, the Oval i mean, i may aswell take my time and do it properly so i expect the shopping list to look summin like this.........................................
2X heater channels
1X rear quarter
1X rear valance (which i am gonna make a removable one to ease engine access)
Floor repairs not sure how bad yet
Old gearbox out and fit a stronger one plus IRS the back end
Disc brakes on the front (with up to date master cylinder)
Fuck it i may even go for the narrowed beem too..............

nightmare mate but i know where you're coming from, my bug was meant to be generally sound, i.e. couple of patches to do and mot it. over an inch of filler on the rear quarters and the heater channels were pretty much made of grp
2x heater channels
2x front quarter panel repair peices
2x rear large quarter (needs complete on rhs but nla)
front crossmember,rear crossmember,tophat, both pans, framehead base plate, 12" repair to spine
front clip complete ,4 new wings, both hinge repair panels (large) and on and on it goes.
first full rebuild i've done and although daunting its getting there.
good luck with the resto mate it will be worth it
