ignition problems

been havin trouble with my ignition for a few weeks, managed to get around it by pushing the wires into back of ignition but now it's doing nothing, i can't seem to work out how to get the caseing off that cover the back of streeling wheel and ignition as it looks like a sealed unit and so can't see if its just a loose wire.does anyone no how to get cover off....? please
