Hey all, im thinking about investing some cash in a set of genuine fuchs but i dont know an awful lot about them and dont want to pay over the odds.
Im obviously not looking for a set of 4.5's Very Happy but im not sure what other widths are available or what sort of cash they command.
Any advice given would be appreciated smile
Cheers.

I don't know much!

But they are very expensive and they can crack. so you could get a set and spend a fortune trying to put them right!

Having them welded etc! I could be wrong though! carzzy

they were made in 14", 15" & 16" diameters... the 14" & 16" can be bought cheaper but you want 15" for a bug really

in 15", the earlier wheels are rarer (4.5, 5.5, deep 6s, 7s & 8s) so if you want to keep the cost down, look for a set of the later 15" flat 6s

a good set of flat 6s will be around £800 upwards depending on condition. the earlier wheels mentioned are around double that

keep an eye on DDK, they come up on there regularly http://www.ddk-online.com/phpBB2/index.php

Do the genuine forged originals crack? I've seen plenty of broken copies.

Well , I only seen this on that program about race-shack! He had a set, but they were split rimmed and needed welding, I was very interested in this part as I used to weld precious metals and cast iron (precious is like HSS and stainless and expensive stuff really!) not gold and stuff!

I had a go at Aliminium welding which was quite cool, so I quite liked watching it, but it was only a short little bit on it! Very Happy

Yeah, at a quick glance looks like the ones in my price range are the16" jobbies and they dont look as good do they. Doh!

I'm afraid there's a lot more 16" (80s) fuchs around than 15" so as I said they are cheaper. you could go 16s with some low profile rubber but I suspect the extra cost of the tyres wouldn't make it that much cheaper in the long run

Hmm i'll have to have a think now. Prehaps i could get the MWS polished variety and detail them properly myself?

the 1st generation of MWS fuchs were bloody awful... like a lego version of the fuch lol the newer ones are supposed to be better but still stand out as being snides IMO

oh and MWS are a bunch of mould stealing cunts anyway & I wouldn't give them the steam off my piss... but that's just me lol

Supposed to be better, but still utter wank wink

Wheels are better when they're round IMHO.
